The W.A Moyer Division of the company was founded in 1895. After incorporation in 1951 and purchase by Hopkins Mfg. Co. in 1978, the facility was moved from Pennsylvania to Emporia, Kansas. In 1992, the company was sold to Wesley Bowden and moved to the present location. The company name remained the same because of the longevity and reputation for quality it had earned in the market. Today the name W.A. Moyer Co. is synonymous with quality vials. We Were There During the development of the space program, the Company produced ground control instruments for the space flights. Some of our vials are still on the moon. Our Vials Are Everywhere
The Company has steadily increased its prestige by study and research, until today we are proud of the fact that we have been able to solve many of the problems of industry pertaining to use of precision and bent type vials. In April 1998, Pedestal Corp., Inc. was formed to offer new products as well as continue the manufacture of glass vials in the W. A. Moyer Division. |
